A Beautiful Morning

kyburgCame downstairs to see the entire floor lit from the rising sun - golden bright. It's cool, comfortable and quiet. Jim worked until 9:00 PM last night and he's got the night shift both days this weekend, so here we go again - he's still asleep and I'm wide awake and busy busy busy.
This time, I'm not going back to work until this house is ready for the housekeeper - and then, the market.
However.
Last night, I left work late - with some things still undone. Shit. Oh well. But I got to see a side of the boss I hadn't been aware of.
Don't mess.
Don't be a dumbshit ex who calls one of the females in his department (there's three, including me) on the company cell phone.
I got to see the boss do a Sam Kennison on the dumbshit ex. Oh, it was wonderful.
I've told you I love my boss. I'll go a little further. Choose with care, but you won't go far wrong with men from Tennessee. Even if they were only born there. Must be something in the water. They're sweet, intelligent, funny, creative, and will go to the fucking mat for you. Be discerning - you don't want an illiterate drunken bum womanizer (there's a lot of those, sadly) - but so far, the balance sheet of really good men in my experience is heavily weighted with men from Tennessee.
BTW, I think Jeb Bush wants to collect unemployment. Anyone with me on this?
I'm not going near Florida for the foreseeable future. Gah.
Brought Jim Outback prime rib for his dinner at 8:00 last night and got a few bites, but I've found the best remedy for the heartburn is not eating - a couple of bites of anything and QUIT. But prime rib from Outback is still wonderful. So's the brown bread, though it like it best when the grilled shrimp has been on it first.
Boxes to storage; shoes to Sis; me to Sam's Club and Home Depot.
A busy Saturday. But the morning is mine.
