Death Valley's Rebel Ballerinas:

This - this is what growing up out there was like, if you were a creative.  You did it without any audience or support whatsoever.  If you found support, it was singular like this.  And you made art any way you could, working harder than anyone would ever give you credit for.

All alone, if need be.

I grew up alone, ignoring what other people said and reused, rewatched, repurposed what there was.  With or without an audience.  Without or without support of any kind.

Regardless of whether anyone else ‘got it.’
