Quick as a bunny -

Today has been picture-postcard gorgeous. In a couple of days, if the sun holds out, this place is going to be drop-dead incredible. The grass turns green and believe it or not, the flowers start blooming again.

People think you should visit Los Angeles in the summer. What a bunch of suckers. There are few times of the year more clement than fall and winter around here. Kid you not.

Whatever happens for dinner tonight, there's a fresh apple pie for dessert. Ug, I have spoken.

I'm also cogitating on self esteem, underwear and socks + bathing and I think there might be an essay in there someplace. Or maybe just breathing and self esteem. Clear water. Fresh bread. People don't question why those things are good, and they are virtual givens - think about them much?

If folks thought as much of themselves as they think of a nice slice of Wonder bread, it would be so much easier to convince them they could do anything. Which is nothing short of the truth, but -

I am all about the fresh bread...I have to say that is something that I miss from Switzerland or Eurpoean countries whenever I visit, is the domiance of bakeries.
