Good morning -
Jan. 17th, 2005 07:20 amLast night, I went out to dinner after Jim went to work. My favorite Indian place for lunch actually serves dinner as well - at the same prices!
My absolute favorite food for $3 and change. Of course, you get to eat it sitting down at one of four formica tables and chairs, off paper plates and plastic cutlery with the little napkins and I think it's Complan they have in the airpot - but it's good, plentiful, vegetarian and good.
Then I went to Target.
Searching for an octopus.
Found the food processor I wanted, with the bonus it also had a new hand mixer in it.
Used up the Target card little brother gave us for Christmas.
Went home.
Felt incredibly strange for leaving the house while Jim was at work. Then again, that hasn't been possible since we met - only one of our two cars was driveable by both of us. And he took that car to work every weekend.
Called Jim and told him what I'd done - and that the front lawn was likely too saturated still to mow with any kind of confidence level for safety.
I miss Jim when he works weekends. It never changes.
And now, I go to work.
Welcome to Monday.
