At what it takes to "fall in love over the internet" - theferrett has a good post on the subject this morning.

He's always good, the stinker. Wish I could do his word count on a daily basis, but them's the breaks.

For me? Physical attraction is all that much sweeter when you fall in love with what's between the ears first. Mean it.

lord_keeper and I met via BBS back in 1993 (Before the Internet was mainstream), on Banter Decanter BBS. Three months after we met in person we moved in together, after he helped me to convince my now ex that no, there was no chance in hell I was going to stay with him, abusive bastard that he was - there would be a divorce and how soon could he move out, and did he need any help finding a place or moving.

We've now lived together for over 11 years total, and will be celebrating our 8 year wedding anniversary on April 19th.

I fell in love with Paul when I believed, from the way he described himself, that he was funny looking. I would have loved him no matter WHAT he looked like.

I cannot begin to tell you what it felt like to finally "meet" the person you are in love with and realize that the frog just turned into the prince.

Maybe that's the big reward, yes? If you're strong enough, and mature enough, and accepting enough, and you believe enough to be able to fall in love on the internet, the reward for that faith is that you end up with everything you ever dreamed of.
