You've heard about the epiphany folks (mainly female folks) are having in SC this morning?
Abusing birds not okay - and there's no such thing as abusing women, nosirreee!
Follow up. After watching the news Tuesday night, Malissa Burnette, former chair of South Carolina's domestic violence task force, did something she's never done before, "I was so shocked. My husband and I, our jaws dropped when watching the television, and I called today to thank WIS for covering that issue." Ya think?
Feminism, at the very bottom where the rubber meets the road, isn't about birth control, man-hating and lesbianism.
It's about making it acceptable to be female. And somehow, removing the idea that it's some kind of birth defect that makes you a second-class of human being.
That's where it begins. Cases like this one convince me anything more in today's CW is gravy.
(Where's that additional penalty for making the South look bad again? This guy SO needs it.)
