Holy cow. Dipped in chocolate and rolled in marshmallows.

I knew it had gotten bad, but this is unreal.

Walls have texture again. I can tell tule from satin from across the room again. The cat has a different texture from the piano.

Keep in mind I discovered mountains have rocks and trees when I was six, when I got my first pair of glasses.

Leaves have definition. I can read the signposts again without straining.

The only downside? He said I wasn't going to like using them at the computer, and he was dead on. I'm wearing the reading glasses right now - and even THAT'S working better.

What do you want to bet some of the fatigue has been from not being able to see easily? This is uncanny.

And they're damn cute, too.

Aren't leaves nifty? And clouds? I remember those first-glasses days. (My prescription hasn't changed a micron since sixth grade, yet anyway.)

Can you get a second pair just for the computer? If budget allows it? If you're staring at a monitor for most of the day, it's a good investment.

And I kind of wish my walls didn't have texture, but I have one of those awful lumpy nearly-stuccoed paint jobs that I can see just find without my glasses. Icky.

Yay for new glasses!

I think my fatigue problem is due to my running a slight asthma attack, and the fact that it is warming up again (I hate the heat).

What are you doing tomorrow? (Saturday).. My plans got changed. Faire is Sunday, not tomorrow.

Lemme know, k? =)

Oh, that sounds way too familiar.

And I'm reminded of this every time I have to stumble around trying to pretend that I can see during the time that I've lost my glasses. Only to realise how much I'm only fooling myself the instant I find them and put them back on.

Heh. I remember when I got my first pair of glasses- age 12, bifocals. It was amazing to realize that cement had stones in it and sidewalks had cracks. 20/800 vision will do that to you.

Congrats. ;)

Yay vision. Those leave things are nice.. I had to wait for ages to get my decade old glasses replaced because some days the leaves looked fuzzier than others so I couldn't trust my eyes, sure was nice when I got the new ones and everything stayed sharp

*giggles madly at "The cat has a different texture from the piano"*

It's amazing after I get new glasses every couple of years what a difference it makes...

I think [livejournal.com profile] drave117 wants to catch free Frosties at Wendy's today - which is right next door to Marukai.

If I can cook that up for this afternoon, maybe it could stretch into a dinner. What do you think?

Bifocals at twelves?! Yeesh.

Mine is at least that bad - if they couldn't correct it, I'd be legally blind.

*shrugs* I was born this way -

Fur...wood grain...fur...wood grain.

Different. Wow. Used to be, I'd have to touch one or the other to get a sense of the difference.

Mmm... nothin' quite like that new glasses feeling! And thank you for reminding me that I really need to get my glasses updated.
