Paul Winchell has died.
Wikipedia has a good write up on the fella - I worked with him once, on a commercial product back in the day. I remember it well because the producer, who I worked for, was trying to put a fast one over on him, and he caught her at it. However, since I was there, and she wasn't - I got blamed for it. He looks at contracts before he signs them. Anyone that bright always does, toots. Jeez.
That was one of the few jobs where I quit on the spot when I'd finally had enough of the bullshit and Just Couldn't Stand It One MORE DAY.
It was back in the days of We Are The World, and not to be stopped by patenting an idea for an artificial heart, he was busy inbetween takes talking about building sand pools to farm a specific type of fish that could be grown in the middle of the deserts as a food source.
He was a very busy, delightful man. Even retired, I'm sure he'd kept his hands in a lot of pots.
Do I remember the commercial? I think it had to do with dog food. He could have done it in his sleep, writing the great American novel and tap dancing at the same time.
