Yesterday, capacity was reached at approximately 2:30 PM - convention tolerating capacity, that is.

That would put it at less than six hours.

We, between the two of us, probably covered less than 3/4's of the dealer's room. It was just that huge.

But I think we'll be back next year.

I got a Foxtrots collection signed by the artist. Jim got Richard Hatch to sign some of his Battlestar Galactica books. Then there was the guy who voices Batman...and the guy who draws Teen Titans...and I got to tell Gary Lockwood he is still teh sexay...sort of...and I got to go to the Zoo today.

Zoo? Began at 9:00 AM and ended at 4:30 PM. I have a higher tolerance for the Zoo. Amazing. The Zoo was incredibly easy to do after Comic-Con.

Walking, walking, walking...hmm. Climbing, walking downhill, ooh CUTE, walking, walking....

The luckiest part of the weekend was getting my pair of shoes Friday at work - so I had brand new Skechers to wear, which is the best kind. No break-in needed, and all of the good orthotic stuff brand new. Hardly noticed - and that exhibit hall floor was HARD.

But I'm bringing more money to buy books next year. I saw a couple I'm picking up online - and the swag is just gonna keep me busy for months. I brought a lot of documentation home. I'm going to be broke forever.

Came home to find a copy of Harry Potter in the mailbox. Schweet. Will have two more tomorrow.

Pink and pleasant...and worn. Gotta work tomorrow, so gotta sleep sometime.

OH - if anyone wants to know a place to stay that LOVES dogs in San Diego - talk to me. I stumbled across one of the best places you can stay with your mutt in town, I swear it. AAA recommended - that's how I found them - but a very hidden gem, to be sure. AND if you want antiques? Just a few block away - good thing I'd spent the money already. And didn't bring anything bigger than the Sentra. (Ocean Villa Inn, on W. Point Loma. Thumbs WAY up!)

Pictures later. Fwumping now.

San Diego zoo? How does the Tiger display look? It was still under renovation the last time I went through (about a year and a half ago). And have they renovated the other big cat cages yet? Those used to be pretty depressing...

They only have a few big cats left at the Zoo - most of them are at the Wild Animal Park, and they tell you to go there to see them (a very good idea, in my opinion - that park rocks!)...the tiger exihibit itself is very cool, shaded and gorgeous. Didn't see the tiger, but the habitat itself is very nice.

I only saw one of the old cages being used - but it had be rehabbed to a fair-thee-well, and seemed to be pretty good for the black leopard in it.

This past Saturday, Connie and I attended the wedding of two friends who first met (in person) at SDCC. I think we'll probably be there next year.

Ooooh, foxtrot signed by the artist! Cool!

I love zoos too. I have a shockingly high tolerance for them.
