Not quite - but the flight were trippy in that we left at bedtime, and arrived in the AM - two days later. Coming back? We arrived before we left, if you looked at the dates and times alone.

In reality, it's 18 hours. And I'd recommend Qantas - they were terrific.

How did you do, going home? Any hitches?

Flight was good - food better than on the flight in, and I got to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory twice. All good!

It all went well for me. I spent about another hour and a half at the carrara markets then headed to the airport a bit early, but I'd rather be early than be rushed. And the flight was completely uneventful, i even napped a bit.

YAY! Charlie and the Chocolate factory is so much fun.

Don't forget, [livejournal.com profile] silverkun is in your neck of the woods right now so if you want to see him before 4pm tomorrow afternoon you should ring him.

And welcome home.

Hope you're enjoying time with Dad (hee hee, got an opal, hee hee, need to see Dad, hee hee) - and just got off the phone with Rey. Going to see if he can find a meeting place that involves food - and I'm all over it.

Also, I have found things for him to take home, I was thinking I'd have to ship tomorrow AM - Seannan is too damn easy to shop for.

*hugs* Glad to be home. It was a great trip!

PS: Here's your horoscope for this week from Rob Brezny's Free Will Astrology;

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

In 1837, Frederick Froebel started the first school for four and five year olds in Germany. He called it "kindergarten," or child's garden, and made it into a paradisiacal sanctuary where teachers read kids poetry and stories, led them in singing songs, and oversaw them as they gardened and played outdoors. Government authorities later shut the place down, citing the "dangerous freedom" of the experiment. I expect you may soon run into comparable opposition as you practice your own personal brand of "dangerous freedom," Scorpio. How should you respond? Do whatever it takes to keep your dream alive, even if it means you have to cool it for a while. Just as the concept of kindergarten eventually revived and thrived, so too must your innovation.

This next piece is from Rob's new book: PRONOIA Is the Antidote for Paranoia: How the Whole World Is Conspiring to Shower You with Blessings. I like the thought and wanted to share it with you for your birthday.

A thousand years from today, everyone you know will be long dead and forgotten. There’ll be nothing left of the life you love, no evidence that you ever walked this planet. That, at least, is what the fundamentalist materialists would have you believe. But suppose the truth is very different? What if in fact every little thing you do subtly alters the course of world history? What if your day-to-day decisions will actually help determine how the human species navigates its way through the epic turning point we’re living through? And finally, what if you will be alive in a thousand years, reincarnated into a fresh body and in possession of the memories of the person you were back in this era? These are my hypotheses. These are my prophecies. Which is why I say: Live as if your soul is eternal.

I thought of you SO many times while I was down there! (You really should go. Really really - and go shopping in the "recycled" stores - you'd enjoy it as much as I did!)

This is as good as cake. Thank you so much - hope you feel even better soon.

You know, when I came bck from down under, my photos were all upside-down!

(Really, we got a 35mm point-and-shoot to take on the trip, and it pulled the film from right to left, instaid of left to right like my trusty Nikon FTn.)
