Die. No, seriously.

You tell me (and everyone who loves me) that you were Never EVAH Gonna port the Sims2 University pack over to the Mac.

Then you told me you were. In February. Okaaaaay. So I put it on pre-order.

You. Hm. Assholes. Shipped it and had it arrive yesterday.

In the middle of the week before Christmas. Thank you so much. So very much.

It works perfectly.

No love whatsoever. Get a sense of timing or go play on the freeway.

Boom shakka boom boom - PULL

Me.

(I really ought to do a headcount - my Pleasantview neighborhood's population count is somewhere between 150 and 200 Sims. Townies? What Townies? And - if anyone on my FL wants to trade lots (with or w/o Sims) for Christmas, let me know and I'll set something up. FREE fun. Give me your hardest lot - I dare you.)

Oh lordy, it's gonna quadruple with Uni, and will grow exponentially after if Nightlife comes to the Mac. Be forewarned. I can't keep track of em all anymore.

Wow that is a lot of Sims in one town! I have probably like 20ish people in mine.

I have been playing the Nightlife lately. You can have vampires in Nighlife. I need to create a vampire town!

I don't know how you do it...

with all you have to deal with and still have time to play the Sims? I can barely manage time to do this stuff and read email. You seem to be good with time management but I am impressed. :)

I suck. I bought a complete install for the PC because misery loves company so that Jim could get the experience himself.

Vamps. I'm just waiting for some bright little penny to start posting Cam and Sabbat lots.

(And no, that was never my thang. Mage was - and you know how few people actually played that one. I was very lonely.)

I cheat. Big time.

I have a clock sitting right next to the screen to keep track of how much time I spend at the computer.

My routines for everything else? Hardcore. Meals and dishes are done before sleeping - if that's at midnight, that's the price of playing games.

Oh. Sleeping is for wimps, BTW. (Yeah, right. *laughs*)

*chuckles* One of my biggest challenges was keeping track of which teens were hooked up with each other - since I'm running out of space to put houses in the neighborhood (I've already archived that really large lot to the south and replaced it with four smaller lots), I've been trying to put at least two Sims in a house when they're ready to leave home. Anal, much?

Have a second place to send the teens to get them out of my hair? Priceless.

Still laughing, BTW. The first kid I sent to University rushed a Greek house - and only after he got in, did I discover he'd rushed the Sorority.

He was a very happy boy, lemme tellya.

What's the secret to rushing well? Hee hee, I imagine how happy that boy was. I can't wait until after the 25th, when I can go back to simming. I miss the game wayyyyy too much.

Well, find out who's in the greek house and make contact ahead of asking to join. You need a basic level of "hey, we get along" to make it work - anything above a 30 short-term, and you're golden. You need that with at least three members of the house - I haven't tried to get anyone else in cold turkey since new members came in (house now has five members - he brought two more with him!) -

That's really the secret to Sims2. Get along. If two sims don't know each other or have much in common, make them do nice things to each other like telling jokes until they can do more than chat. Gossiping? BIG help to getting to know you time - once you can do it.

Nightlife adds a level of fury to its interactions - if you have to deal with a sim "cheating" - and now, you only have to have crushes going for the betrayal to kick in, you don't have to have a mutual love relationship in place for it to happen - you get battles. Big, narsty knock-down dragouts. My guy graduated from college, set up housekeeping and the gang from the sorority called to go hang out downtown. Doing this, he was the only sim I could control - but the sorority sisters had asked a couple of the fraternity guys along.

He'd never interacted with the fraternity guys. The Romance sim had, banging both of fraternity dudes on dream dates. The other girls had crushes on the one guy, but had never gone through with anything else and didn't even have friend status with him. Didn't matter. They found out he'd done the romance sim and it was ON. Romance sim? 1 and 1 - won one, lost one.

Ah, and it was going so well, too. I got the chance to change the romance sim's aspirations at Junior year and did.

She's now a very sedate family aspiration. And two of her sorority sisters are still furious with her.
