kyburgThis morning, half an hour after Jim left for work, I got a phone call - the ATM machine had eaten his card, and a boy without breakfast is a scary proposition.
However, that was just the beginning.
On my way to the hospital to take him some cash and food, I passed a head-on collision at the 91/Vermont intersection - and when I got to the hospital, Jim told me one of his co-workers had called in - an expected death, but a Major One - in the family.
Coming home, another full-on response passed me on the way.
I'm taking the hint. I'm keeping my head down and my mouth shut today, and playing with my Sims.
Jeebus.
