Can't guarantee it'll stay this quiet for long, and part of the reason I'm journaling is trying to get into the habit of saying something on a daily basis.

I need to find someplace to go see the new Superman movie - I'm completely sworn off all the mall-based options near us. The last time we tried them out, we had mall rats doing chinese fire drills through the middle of the film...and well, I don't want to go to jail for assault if I get a repeat performance. I just don't.

Yanno, Jim's never seen a film in Hollywood. I think this might be the time to do it. Not tonight. Maybe tomorrow. Friday is AX registration and the last good night's sleep I'll probably get for the weekend. ;)

I also need to start thinking about what to pack for food - I remember the choices at the hotel there in Anaheim, and it's two things. Bad and expensive. BAH. I have the bento lunchboxes...time to use them!

I highly recommend the Arc Light cinema in Hollywood. This theater is a bit different. More expensive, but there's assigned seating, ushers, about 40% less junk before the movie (no commercials, about 3-4 previews). It's where the old Cinerama dome is. More, they have a little boutique, a bar, a cafe, a coffee stand, and its own parking lot. Suddenly, you don't find yourself having to rush in 20 minutes before the show on account of seating frenzies. The theater doesn't oversell, and you can buy your tickets online!
