One of the good things.
Got home yesterday, and found a message on the voicemail from the PT provider Jim is going to see twice a week for the four weeks the doctor wants. The billing office, matter of fact.
Uh oh.
They'd verfied his insurance coverage and wanted to tell us what our responsiblities were going to be.
Uh oh.
We were covered; but out of network.
Uh oh.
But the doctor had noted Jim worked as a rad tech, and they were going to extend the professional "courtesy discount" to us. Our co-pay for each visit was going to be...
Wait for it.
$10.
Have a nice day. (I dropped a note to the HR department here, thanking them for getting such a good contract with the insurance company. Ya think?)
