They discovered how much my HOA dues are, and changed their mind. *shrug*
Well, you can see the pictures...don't you think they spend enough money keeping the common areas nice looking? And a lot of that pays for hot water - yup, my HOA pays for all the hot water I can use. It's like living in a hotel - the hot water never ends!
deadaerith has come over from AMV.org - (used to be treeprincess). All my best buds are coming over here - *happy bounce* Hey - if ID needs an account, I've got codes -
Watching Health Network. A documentary on facial surgeries. GRAPHIC - good thing that stuff doesn't bother me. No, it doesn't - really. One surgery had the doctor completely peeling the face off a young woman to rearrange the facial bones - cutting the eye sockets behind the eyes, the cheekbones...yup, network television.
But I remember one of the stories was a four-year-old girl named Katie, who was the victim of a shotgun blast that tore off her lower jaw. Gone...and they rebuilt it using spare parts (the fibia, muscle from her leg, etc.) - neato stuff.
15 months later is when they picked up with the family, preparing to complete the reconstruction work with a second surgery. Katie is talking and having trouble sitting still as the surgeon is trying to explain everything to Mom and the camera team.
Meanwhile, Katie is trying to bite the surgeon.
Obviously, it's a game they play a lot with each other.
*shakes head* How can anyone hate kids? Where else would you get such a shift in perspective?
