I could wait until I get home to get the actual form number, but the preapproval to adopt (1) one child(ren) from China has been returned from the DHS to us - we got it on Saturday.

This is the last piece of paperwork that had to be received to get the final dossier together for submission.

This means we'll make the January dossier submission.

This means we'll start the clock this month.

This means we'll likely be parents by a year from now, March.

DONE.

I'll be posting the dossier submission date when it happens - that's when the clock really starts.

Maybe I'll start an afghan. I'll have enough time to complete it, after all.

But also, we have a good year before we have to do anything - and there are plenty of things to do before the. See family. Go to Switzerland. Stuff.

Get it out of the way now - because once we go to China, it won't just be us anymore.

*whew* I'll celebrate when the dossier is off. You understand.

We are always around - but we won't be doing ComiCon. I have an adversion to that particular conference that verges on hives.

We are also members of the San Diego Zoo, so we can get in for free anytime - plan an extra day on either side, and we can take you!
