I would have called 911 on the spot, honestly. And then I would have called a lawyer. Right then. I've gotten mean in my old age. If anyone touched my child or tried to intimidate them, it would have been end of story.

Commented on the entry but holy crap, I hope they go to the media for this. Police involvement would be good too but they should have really done that last night while they were there. Hands on a customer? A disabled customer? HELL NO.

I hope this man sues the shit out of this place. And I've worked with the public my entire working career. I'd never lay a hand on a customer, esp. a kid, even though they constantly piss me off. It's not right. And it's against the law, as so many have pointed out. The manager is a disgrace to management everywhere, too. What the hell kind of supervisor is that?

I disagree. Do not steer clear of that place. In my opinion anybody near San Diego should deliberately go there and tell them how unacceptable that behavior is. Loudly, and in earshot of as many people as possible.

I do agree about calling the cops. IANAL, but I'm pretty sure that under California law that qualifies as assault and battery, which is an arrestable offense (though most likely the cops wouldn't actually haul her off, at the very least a report should be filed and statements taken in anticipation of pressing charges).

It really doesn't matter what the kid was or wasn't doing either. That form of assault is unacceptable under any conditions.

I'm going to alert friends who live down there. Best I can do - you can be assured I'm not going anywhere near the place. I got enough crap to deal with driving the 91.

They did call the cops. Having just read 6 pages of comments on this 'incident' I'm slightly ill. Teh cop who arrived decided since the victim was not shoved out of his chair, it wasn't worth it.

They have to go higher up the food chain.
