Data will eat me. Wait. That doesn't scan right. *slaps self*

Seriously - work has been so crazed, the bits and bytes that make up my life are doing the hula through my subconscious.

If I am curt, abrupt, or simply appear not to be paying attention - I'm aware of the problem, and steps are being taken to remedy the problem. Stand by. It's not your imagination.

oh wait

Uh, that's what I've been saying so many times it's gotten to be rote. Well, it's true anyway.

IF YOU NEED SHOES ASK ME NOW I DELIVER. SERIOUSLY.

See you tonight at the Norwalk store - and I'm going home at seven! NYAH.

Oh hells. Here, have some novelty records:

Ti Kwan Leep Boot To The Head - The Frantics
Cocktails For Two - Spike Jones

Yes, it's been that kind of week.

IF YOU NEED SHOES ASK ME NOW I DELIVER.

Weel, not exactly - I can ship to you now. Without me having to do it. I'm going out to Norwalk tonight (oops, I said that already), but I can put orders in until tomorrow night to drop wherever. You said you needed some back in December - still want? And refresh the RAM here, it's getting pretty old....

I do. I'll e-mail you tonight.

What's this about RAM, though?

And kudos for the Tae Kwon Leap.

"Boot to the head."

"Ow! You booted me in the head!"

"Now, let us return to our meditation."

"Wait! Now I'm ready!"

You've heard the Last Will and Temperament version, right?

The RAM reference is an old one - remember, I've spent most of my adult life around folks who either design and build computers or program them from the machine language on up - RAM memory, being electronic in nature, has to be "refreshed" periodically, or it begins to lose bits and so forth. So if I ask to have my RAM refreshed, it means I remember most of what was said, but not enough to be reliable.

Also, nooooo, I haven't heard the Last Will and Temperament version - you get to introduce me.

And if you want shoes, drop me a line with a mailing address (or catch me on messenger during the day today) and I can get an order in to drop at your house. But I have to get it in today.

Sent. :)

I'm still looking for Last Will. I might have it on my other computer. I'll check there later.

I really hate to ask, because my sense of pride tells me I ought to be able to provide for [livejournal.com profile] riverheart and myself. But on the other hand, last month the co-pays on our medications was just on the shy side of $500. So on the gripping hand… free shoes.

I'm no longer on my feet constantly throughout the work day, and only rarely am I in the Build Area where heavy heavy servers are likely to drop on my toes, so maybe something semi-dressy? But I need enough heel depth to accomodate my orthotics.

I'm looking at something both semi-dressy and work-safe like #76747, or with better ankle protection like #4479, or a repeat of the ones you sent me the first time (#4059).

Or I'm open to suggestion… I wear a 9.5, medium width.

All you two have to do is ask - if there was a song I knew by heart, it's this one.

The Family Days are over, but I still have slots on my employee program this month - so let me look at the styles you suggested when I get back to my desk. I think the ones I got you were 9.5 or were they 10? Everything we do is medium width -

Last time you sent either 10.0 or 10.5, and they were definitely too large. I picked up a $15 pair of sneakers at Costco that I'm presently wearing, but that's a stopgap measure.

Thank you, m'dear. Thank you indeed.

Oh, yeah: color.

Black, please. (As the gothlings say, "I'll wear black until they make something darker.")

Dude. Your first choice is still begin made, but is back-ordered to AUGUST. *facesmacks*

I'm putting in a backup order for your second choice today. River's shoes are in and will ship tomorrow. Holy chrome.

Need? Not precisely. Have been drooling over? Yes, definitely. I do not have a pair of dress boots. I do not have a pair of dress shoes with heels, for that matter - I have the semi-dressy Scholar flats you sent last year, which work great with a pants suit but not with a dress or skirt, and the pair of dress flats I got at SAS in Gilroy, where I got measured. I have been eyeing the Dylan in black for months. I wear an 8.5 if they are true to size, a 9 if they run small.

As I said, this is not a need, this is a want. Charles *needs* shoes. I have a pair of working out shoes, a pair of sandals, a pair of field boots, the Scholars, and a pair of dress flats, and that is enough to cover almost every need. So let me know what these will cost and I will save up the money (though it might take a while). Thanks!

Ah. Charles has identified model numbers, so I should do similarly: they are Dylan (Style: 30616).
