Is this the same moral compass that says forbidding the use of human embyros in stem cell research is respecting human life, but has no problem at all with the death penalty, poorly justified wars, and crapping up the environment so badly that the embryos'll be lucky not to be mutant freaks by the time they're born?

No, it's a moral compass in the same way that Jack Sparrow's compass is.

It only points towards what he wants to do.

Would someone please mind telling me why there hasn't been a serious press to impeach most of the members of this administration already?

Apathy? Republican Congress? The war?

Blowjob? Can't fault this argument. Major reason to?

1. If you live in America, you should know there's a lot more moral outrage waiting to happen regarding sexual issues than pretty much any other topic.

2. See 3.

3. See 1. I don't claim to be an expert on the topic, but it's a bit late in his presidency to try to impeach him. When there was more moral outrage over this war a few years ago (notice how most of the protests have died down), his approval ratings were much higher and the Republicans controlled Congress. What was the lesson learned there? We can't change a damn thing. Now that his approval is in the basement and the Democrats are in a position to actually do something, pretty much everyone has given it up in favor of concentrating on next year's elections.

Again, just my armchair political theory perspective.

*chuckles* I'm not arguing the point, given that I actually agree. I'm not quite sure when it happened, but at some point, my political fervor evolved into an apathy that I've yet to fully comprehend for the simple sake that there's little to nothing I can actually do. *shrugs*

Oddly enough, I think I know that feeling.
