You know, when that last Harry Potter book gets here?

The first thing I'm gonna do?

Proof positive I can't be spoiled.

I'm gonna dash off with that bad boy, go right to the back and read the last oh - 10, 20 pages.

And then enjoy the rest of the book in peace.

Oh very yes, I will. I will, indeed.

Noooo! Don't do it! Doooooon't! :)

I personally plan to stay off LJ until I've got the gorram thing read.

And hey - a chance to use my HP icon!!!

I won't do that. I've never read the ending of a book before reading the begining and not going to start with HP7. I may go crazy, without the internet while I read, but I'll do it.

I've dashed through all of the books - and frankly, went so fast - just to get to the end - that I missed a bunch. Nah.

I'm unspoilerable. It'll be like eating a box of chocolates, knowing I can take my time and enjoy them. Once I know what's in the box, neh?

I'm cutting myself off from the INTARWEB and holing up in my bedroom until I finish it or throw the book away, whichever comes first.

I'll be in line at 10:30PM on Friday for my book. Then I am not to be disturbed for the next 48 hours. No T.V. and no internet.

I eat books for breakfast so I should be done with this baby in no time at all.

You know...

If I was a real rat bastard (which I am), I would try to be the first or near the first in line just to get the book...

Given how long the lines usually are, it doesn't take that much time to scan for the spoiler in the last few pages and then blurt it out at the people who are still in line...

Not that I would, but I'm just pointing out that there is no real 'safe' place until you get home and sequestered in a room somewhere.

LOL I was just thinking of that. Maybe I should send the hubby-to-be to stand in line for me. Would be safer that way lol.

Yup, I was going to offer to do it for Michi to keep her safe from spoilers too.

*grins* You stole a permutation of my idea! God, I wish I were a bookstore employee. Being fired and potentially Mobbed would be SO worth the laugh.

I mentioned this to my older son, and he volunteered to go pick up my copy - now I just need to go and reserve it.

People hate me because I like spoilers (I even went and surfed up the spoiler for Sixth Sense before I watched it), but for HP7 I'm going to read it beginning to end.

But if somebody does tell me the ending? I really won't mind, because Rowling just weaves such a good story that even knowing how it ends, she makes it such an adventure getting there.

You're not alone. I ALWAYS want spoilers. It keeps me from destroying things after being subjected to an ending that I...'dislike'...

However, even if I must have spoilers before partaking of any story, I'll keep it to myself since I know others hate it. Everyone enjoys a story in their own way.

I sat down and read every single book from 4 on straight, and I plan to do it with this one. 600+ pages? Pish.

I'd just like to note that I will have access to the book a full 3 days before the street date. *smirk*

1) I work retail.

2) The book arrives on the 19th.

3) I am the supervisor of the department that includes books.

I can't buy the book or take it home, but that doesn't mean I can't look at it in our receiving bay.
