kyburgLuna Bars are a mainstay in my life - they're cheap (buy them in bulk at Trader Joes), tasty, filling and reasonably good for me.
They're also only 3 points on WW and if I close my eyes, I can believe I'm having Real peanut butter cookies or peppermint whores.
Haven't found the new Chocolate Raspberry ones - but I did find the new Berry Almond.
Here, let me throw myself on the grenade for you.
*puckers* TART. Not sweet like the Lemon Zest, no - and it does not have the flavored coating-like bottom that flavor does. Rather, this is more like an intensely PURPLE rice-krispy treat - it's sticky and clings to the wrapper.
Almond? Almond anywhere? Maybe - but the berry tastes boysenberry. Very, VERY boysenberry. Me like - then again, I like anything to do with boysenberries.
*reads label* Says "red berries, blueberries and almonds." It also says a lot about the breast cancer fund, but doesn't mention any donations toward it. It also says 70% organic - and that makes me wonder what part of organic this isn't. (Their tea cake line is USDA organic, and the label says certified by QAI, but no nine digit number. So. HUH?)
They're a Berkeley company. Somebody go bang on their door. I'll give you some empty wrappers to take with you.
Good change from the rest of the flavors - unless you like the cookies and cream, which I find bland to point of unsweetened shortening. If you're expecting something like that, you're going to get your face locked up ala SOUR SOUR SOUR.
The tea cake line tastes like it's good for you. 'Nuff said. You like that kind of thing, you go for it.
