Camping trip to Joshua Tree National Monument - tentatively weekend of May 17th.

Camping trip to El Capitan State Beach - tentatively planned for June 7th.

80's Redux Party at MAH HOUSE - June 21st. Or the 14th. Depends.

Redoing the Christmas Eve at the house party - oh, like August 9th.

But here's the big one:

PICNIC EASTER SUNDAY AT POLLIWOG PARK IN MANHATTAN BEACH.

Get out there about 10:00 AM, bring tons of picnic food, drinks and all the games we can play. Go home when sunburned. Bring laptop with iTunes.

You know, the airfares aren't THAT bad...pick something truly insane like $100 round and Priceline one of the dates. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Camping is appealing, Joshua Tree is my 'backyard'... It's been over 25 years since I camped at El Capitan...I was on a motorcycle that time. I don't even remember the 80's, it was a blur. I'll check my calendar.

Damn. Except June and August dates (which I'm uncertain about), all of the other dates have concerts, rehearsals, or work scheduled on them. Life as a musician, I guess. We work on weekends, woo!

I'm avoiding Memorial Day weekend plans - that's a con weekend. Which one? Pick one. Not doing one, that I know of yet - but that's up for grabs.

My sister got married in Polliwog Park. There's a gazebo with a picnic bench inside (there's probably more than one, but we only cut the chain moved one out of the way).

When it came time for the ring the groom's best man patted his pockets, shrugged and turned to the first groomsman. He patted his pockets, shrugged and turned to me (I was in the wedding party). I didn't know they were going to do that, but I'm quick sometimes so I patted my pockets, turned around - there was no one behind me - then turned back to the middle guy and shrugged. The best man finally patted his pockets again and found the ring.

The judge said it was the first comedic wedding she had ever performed. I'm just surprised my BIL didn't kill his best man.
