Vive La Resistance!
Nov. 24th, 2002 07:53 pmI just got back from the store. Got the Thanksgiving grub. But I also treated myself to a trip to Tuesday Morning, the upscale Pic n Save/Big Lots.
I luv Tuesday Morning.
Seen something really cool at the Nordstroms, but would never pay $100 for it?
Tuesday Morning can have it for about $20. Now, keep in mind, this is a liquidation house so it's totally buyer-beware...but I just brought home most of my Christmas shopping, candles and a Tefal frying pan (we needed a new one) for under $200.
*looks* About five bags of Christmas goodness.
And I did my duty to rally the masses. I engaged the clerks in a grass-roots discussion about who's in office, why and did you vote?!
One of the co-workers tossed candy over the aisle - which prompted me to claim "weapons of mass destruction - here! Here - right here!" Gah, we laughed ourselves sick.
As expected, nobody working the dead-end retail job at Tuesday Morning voted in the last election.
But I believe they will in the next. And will bring their friends.
I hope. But for tonight, my job is done.
