Today stuff is getting paperwork, fees and records updated.

Not really today stuff, but we should be thinking about it daily stuff:

Finances, and keeping bills paid on time - need a better system than the one we're using.
Consciously develiop better housekeeping habits
Raffle fundraiser in June

Not today stuff:

Church home (although I think this place is going to get a visit from me soon.)
Day Care (tours on schedule, though, we'll make a decision soon)
Furniture upgrades
Clothes and toys

Really soon stuff:

More information from foster care, hopefully they will allow us to send a box of things for him to have and get used to, that can also come home with him - some continuity between here and there - I'm already hating the idea that we have to take him away from everything he knows to be our kid, the only consolation is that it would likely happen soon regardless, hence his classification as a SN adoption. He's aging out of the care he's in - I suspect.

But that's not today.

Next two weeks are extremely busy, one with this Book Fair this Saturday, tea with Sis and Mom on Sunday, travel up to the Bay Area for Makers Faire with Jim's Mom and younger brother...*wibbles* Anyone want to see us? We'll be in town from May 2nd through to the 6th - let me know.

Trip will definitely include chocolate. Also, I'm working the numbers to get up to the area again for Memorial Day weekend and likely audit both Fanime and Baycon. (IE, sit in the lobby.) Taking the train on Friday (whole day of travel) and Monday to do it. (Gimme that Sim time. Gimme!)

No wonder I fall down asleep after dinner. COFFEE NOW PLZ.

I leave for DC on May 3rd, but will see if we can try to cross paths at/near Maker Faire. Boy was trying to talk me into going anyway.

Baycon is liable to not be at its best this year anyways due to stupidity and hotel changes; it wouldn't hurt to miss this year.

I'll be working Reg at Baycon, so we'll definitely get to see each other then.

I would imagine that you're right about him aging out of the care he's in. He looks like he's a decent home and he's a happy kid; taking him away from that in general is going to be majorly jarring, but going to a home with a no-kidding Mom and Dad is going to be a major, major step up. Seriously, it will work out.
