Someone picked new owners for their dog.

Except they didn't ask. They just tossed her over the fence and split.

Folks in Colorado, got space for a really sweet dog down on her luck?

..

I'd be angry, but I'm a realist at the end of the day. There's going to a lot more of this before there is less of it.

I'm sorry. I thought it was a llama or an alpaca. Very cute.

I live in the land of dumped dogs, in fact the county has posted signs in some parts of town prohibiting dumping of animals. The county shelters are full of dogs and cats rescued from foreclosed homes.

what a previous face!
i've heard several stories about people losing their homes to forcelosure. at least these folks didn't lock the dog in the house to starve to death.

What a sweet moppet of a dog. I hope she gets a good home.

At least they didn't leave their pet locked in a foreclosed home to die hungry and alone, or set it "free" in some park or vacant lot to get run over or attacked by other animals (and then die hungry and alone)..

Sigh.. It's a sad state when "dumping over a fence and running away" could be considered almost humane by comparison to what's happening to a lot of pets..

you know, i'd usually say i'm sorry it happened, but at least they tossed her into the lap of someone that cares and not on the side of a highway someplace. though they're still horrible people, at least now she's got a better chance.

My youngest cat is a 'foreclosure pet'. Happily, he was rescued by a charity and not the shelter. I adopted him from PetSmart.
