Let me tell you this much.

When Cliff was battling the terminal part of his diabetic diagnosis at the age of 36, he was the one having affairs and I was the one justifying my LACK of them to social workers.

Those two cents, free of charge.

The same one where I was asked why I didn't leave my husband of 15 years who was totally disabled? After all, it's not like we had children. (This was by my mother by the way. My husband lived another 10 years.)

An unfortunate side effect of the stuff I'm going through has been to take a lot of steam out of me in that respect. But frankly, I have never ever thought that Having Affairs was right, even when I was (unfortunately) in an open relationship. That may sound odd, but...

Since I remarried, I've never contemplated such a thing. Doesn't mean I'm dead, but...aside of that, any sort of break with my wife would essentially write off my relationship with my daughter. Losing both relationships would be unendurable.
