Down three, eighty-seven to go -
Oct. 1st, 2008 05:58 pmEvery day, another layer. One thing I'll have to remember is the awesome feeling of doing something I know how to do...and the sinking feeling of when I don't, and have to scurry around to find the answer. This will get better...but the new kid on the block blues are real, and here for the duration.
I found out my company donated a buttload of shoes after Katrina...largely due to the efforts of my new boss and his mad, mad networking skills (get out on Sirius and XM radio looking for truckers to move shoes to Louisiana - FTW!). I like the way his mind works - and he's very sweet. I can live with that, neh?
I think we're of an age and he's already a grandfather. So far, so good.
HOT here right now. Triple digits and it's October, right? Right - prime brush fire weather. I haven't forgotten.
It's nice to sleep nights again. Really really.

No offence.
It's in the high 40s here right now, and it seems to want to snow.
Woot! for me! ;) (then again, I never liked the heat, yeah?)
Yay for the new job being so good!
