would you consider doing some of your WINTER$HOLIDAY shopping?

I don't mean to be obtuse, but I don't understand exactly what you are asking. I understand the raffle part. I think you are wanting to hold a raffle to help defray adoption expenses. Are you asking if people would donate for a winter shopping prize?

I'm trying to gauge interest in participating from the purchasing perspective. It really would be bad to ask people to put in so much effort, if the interest (and ability) couldn't be there to make it worthwhile. It's coarse, but there you go. Economy is what it is - and people got lives.

Remembering my impact on others, after all.

I got some photographic stuff (film camera/lens) you can raffle or eBay if you want to. It's a Nikkormat FTN and I'll include a wide angle zoom and a long zoom lens. The camera is a collector Nikon and the lenses are Vivitar Series One.... It isn't a lot but it will convert to cash.

in addition...

I'll see what I can donate (cash)...I'd rather just give you guys something directly.

long, silly explanation...

As a general rule, we don't exchange gifts, unless people want to share home cooked items. We've had this in place for several years now, because a) we'd rather spend time with loved ones, which is more precious to us than things; b) many of of our loved ones have been enduring hard times for several years; and c) we don't celebrate xmas anyway.

However, as friends and family have birthdays/anniversaries, I might consider shopping for that. It also depends on what is created/offered.

Also, are we asked to donate items? Or just purchase tickets? Because I can donate something, if you like.

I am, of course, unemployed and therefore broke for the foreseeable future. However, I *can* donate a fractal piece (or two) to the cause. New work, will not be shown anywhere else, winner gets the code as well as a large source file for printing. I would do the printing myself, but I can't afford it, so digital source file.

I'm a bit broke because we bought a new roof this year.

I wish you and your new addition to the family all the best. I know you've wanted a baby since I started hanging around LJ and I know you will make a terrific mom. Congrats again!

If you like any of my photos, I could print, frame, donate and ship for your raffle. http://www.ceruleanphoto.com

I'd be happy to donate a photoshoot, and small photo package for an SF bay area raffle winner, and I could get the pics to them before the holidays.

Unless I've been blind and miss the list PLEASE do let us know what is needed for your little boy.

I'll ship a box out there faster than you can slap a diaper on a monkey :)

I'm going to suggest that most of us skip Yule-presents this year other than charity donations - but this, like charity donations, is for an awesome cause. I may skip the raffle and just PayPal you, or buy something off the wishlist. I actually got commissions for this year, so I doubt I can donate any jewelry for raffling.

Are you asking if we'd donate, or if we'd buy?

If it's buy... ... (I probably should but)... I don't know what you do/sell?

No rush -- after all, I'm still working on Shadesong's readings. I should probably send out another email.
