Dear M/M Rare Writer Letter -
Jun. 6th, 2014 12:45 pmI am so sorry I didn't have this ready when I put my offer and wishlist up on AO3 - wanted to get the signups done in time, and just flat ran out of clock cycles.
Let me break down what I asked for and try to give you a hand.
Request 1 by kyburg
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Clint Barton/Hulk (Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes)
Feel free to disregard the above pairing and put Bruce Banner/Steve Rogers in its place - something nobody gets around to doing.
Request 2 by kyburg
The Magician (TV 1973)
Tony Blake/Max Pomeroy
There is NO other works in the archive past my own - I'd like some company. Anything!
Request 3 by kyburg
Saiyuki
Cho Hakkai/Genjo Sanzo
Genjo Sanzo/Sha Gojyo
My favorite pain puppies! Go for it.
Request 4 by kyburg
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Bruce Banner/Steve Rogers
Nick Fury/James "Rhodey" Rhodes (MCU)
Phil Coulson/Tony Stark
James "Bucky" Barnes/James "Rhodey" Rhodes
James "Rhodey" Rhodes/Sam Wilson (MCU)
Gotta have me some Rhodey. Here's an easy one -
One, there are no other Magician stories in the archive than the one crossover I did, and I can only hope we matched on that one. That show has *yet* to be rebooted in any fashion, not even as a superhero epic and frankly, it's about time someone did. Not a cop show, not a spy thang - just one guy, a handful of illusions and the commitment to making it right anyway he can. I miss Bill Bixby so sorely, but I miss one hour drama on television like this on even more. And I love San Francisco - just saying.
Yes, I have a favorite.
I don't need romance, sexy times or kinks - if you think that's what you're good at, show me what you've got but don't feel obligated. I want to see interaction, respect, love and "maybe I love you, but right now I don't like you very much at all." In the case of Saiyuki, "I HATE YOU SO MUCH" often is more the order of the day.
There is never enough Rhodey. Never. If you write in the Marvel properties, lather, rinse, repeat. Never enough Rhodey. Sneak Carol Danvers in there somewhere, and I am all over that.
Good luck, happy writing and see you soon! Thanks again for everything -
