Sure.

Make all kinds of cute.

She does them on a seasonal bend.

Waaay too much work for this chickie-boo. Unless it had something to do with a friend's party or something. I work hard when it's love, yanno.

(EK. Hash browns on a stick. laffo!)

San Francisco...made out of jello.

Surreal, tasty - and it looks like something out of Tron. Only...edible.

It was chocolate chip (via the bench recipe by Alton Brown) and oatmeal scotchies, yesterday. I also now have more brown sugar than anyone ought to have at one sitting. Uh, went to Costco looking for ingredients. I think this year's house gift is going to be cookies-in-a-jar kits - it'll come in handy, but what does one do with a open 20lb bag of brown sugar? Methinks I will have to go find a rice bin from Marukai and make do. Something.

We're out of names and are now using the back-up system of naming hurricanes. You think this is the last time we're going to have to do this? Just wait - in a couple of years, we're going to be naming hurricanes after fraternities. Lamda Lamda Lamda!

Can't believe I'm going to Australia in less than a month. Whoo.

Monday morning - now in progress.

Oooh.

Overcast, cool and not warm enough to go outside without a jacket. The forecast says rain tomorrow, too.

Sounds like a great day to warm up the house baking cookies. *nods* I've got some care packages to send out, and it's a good excuse.

I'm not really ready to turn the furnace on yet for the winter - but it's cool enough at night to heat up the herbal pack and tuck it in before heading off to bed. That's in addition to the wool blanket (accept no substitutes) and feather comforter.

It's also coming around to that time of year when gifting becomes acceptable again. There are a couple of things I know I need - like a new phone that rings loud enough to hear (programmable with something I like would be a plus), and I think I want the camera option, please.

We need a new laptop - either to replace Jim's or mine. His is barely useable, mine is a brick that only works with a lot of coaxing. I'm also considering a processor/memory upgrade for ol' Trogdor here.

Geek ever onward.

[livejournal.com profile] deense, could you answer a question about ATM systems in Oz? As in, would one of our debit cards from the US work over there? The credit portion I'm not worried about - it's the getting of cash portion I'd like to verify.

*yawn* Breakfast - and putting butter out to soften. Peanut-butter, I think. Or some oatmeal-raisin. Maybe both.
