Link soup -
Feb. 12th, 2007 11:04 amI've got a menstrual headache this morning. It's about the only kind I get - so, bleh. *snerk*
However, the haul this morning on useful links is pretty good for a Monday, so I'll share -
Angel Food Ministries, which is not to be confused with Project Angel Food because one is non-demoninational (but CHRISTIAN!), and the other one doesn't ask anything but your HIV status before they feed you. And has better sponsors.
(I have to do this - checking the Ministries site, I am struck full-face with the names of some of the churches - Last Stop Before Heaven Full Gospel Church, which just screams PENTACOSTAL APOSTOLIC ON FEURE1111! Uh.
poetpaladin told me about them - and I have to admit, they are a fantastic resource. (
elfwench,
lord_keeper, there are four sites in Indianapolis - ) Yes, they are likely going to speak in Xian and ask to pray with you and all that. When it comes to prayers, I treat them much the same as I do food - it all goes the same place, and it's rude to refuse based on context/content and create waste as a result. Some people would be offended if prayers were offered from multiple faiths - I'm not one of them. And where else could I set a better example of what I believe, in that regard?
Yes, I'm a Christian - I just may not be the kind of Christian you're used to. ;)
Project Angel Food is having an Art Sale later this month too. Bugger.
In the child rearing/development arena - the Heartsent ML threw this link at me this morning, and for free? Very useful things to jumpstart your brain into kidthink - Kid Builders, age-appropriate things to do to maximize early child development in a variety of arenas. Simple, quick and directed. I like that.
Since I W00ted a 8GB flash drive a couple of weeks ago, I brought it into work to show it off and the boss mentioned MojoPac to me. Not only can you carry a hard drive around your neck now, you can carry a whole OS as well. You can even convert your iPod and such (why) if you wish.
I think I'll get another flash drive to test that one out. The one I got is earmarked for music and nothing else. I want everything in one place, dammit.
Going to get food. Maybe that'll help the headache - oh, and two more weeks and I'm Lifetime. Yay.
