Kyburg is a castle in Switzerland that the Stapfers were once knights of (Switzerland never had royalty, so that's the highest rank you had).

Back in the bad old days of AOL, I went to sign up and found handle after handle already taken (and we didn't do that ___ or xxx or numbers sheeyit), so I threw my hands up and said "I'll pick something Swiss and be done with it!"

And so it was.

I ain't tagging nobody. ^_^

I'm done with the doctor - I think I'm going to be on the lighter side of activity list for a while, I still get tired quickly - but I'm well again.

Jim, on the other hand, is on day two of Cipro and we'll see how it goes. Quarantine very much in effect. This is a bad, bad bug.

I do, on the other hand, get the "Stays On Her Feet" award for 2007. I did a cross-country plane trip and a family reunion as sick as Jim is right now - and then went back to work as soon as I got back. I know I'm feeling better, I come up with beauties like this conversation:

(Going south on the 405 home after doctor visit in BH)

Me, bobbing and weaving like a madman - there's construction on Santa Monica and everyone is PISSED. Stupid, a given.

Jim, holding on for dear life.

Me: Don't forget, I'm the one who drove airport shuttle. I have balls the size of Long Island.
Jim: Honey, I don't recall seeing anything like that when I met you.
Me: They're virtual.

Going to sleep well tonight -

What would make this whole experience complete, you say?

Jim's got it now. *facesmacks*

Yup. That's the haul from yesterday, and I get to go back today -

That's three prescriptions, and five different - um - samples. I just want to know what I did.

Doctor is in Beverly Hills, which is hilarious in its own right - but then again, I asked for it. The drive is straight up the 405 - which in Mapquest minutes is 30, but in Real Life - think more like 90 minutes. The good news is that I got [livejournal.com profile] cadhla's new CD in the mail Friday - too sick to listen to it all weekend, and that's saying something - so I did what I did with the first one she put out - I listened to it in the car.

Folks, I was able to go through it four times. Review and critique forthcoming.

In the meantime, I gotta go give another offering to the poo gods. %$#@!

(OH, did I mention Seasons for the Mac arrived? And that the Mini finally hit the wall on hardware requirements and won't run it? Right. Yay. *facesmacks* Yeah, I knew this day would come. I half expected it for Seasons....)

Not dead. Lower GI doing its best, though. Yeah, I've been sick for a week now with this. Got a doctor's appointment with the poo doctor tomorrow, - but in the meantime, too sick to leave the house and am making do with ghetto gatorade (2 tbls honey, 2 tsp salt, 1 qt water). Tried to make rice this morning - but ended up in the bathroom so long, it burned spectacularly.

Still have both front and back porches full of stuff. Too sick to sit upright more than a few minutes.

Bleh.

Ghad, I hate having a cold.

I've got just enough clock cycles to have a life - and that's all. The rest of the time, I'm horizontal. BAH.
