I'm laughing a lot today - can't help it.
Dec. 23rd, 2008 12:21 pmGot my 90 day probation review yesterday - as in, it's done. I'm perm now.
And got a 5K raise. And group insurance (with the richer plan, remember?) - all of it kicks in on the first.
But the corker was the review. When I signed on here, it was with the understanding I would prove my worth as a company asset (ie, make sure you're a fiscally sound investment, hear?).
First sentence - "Donna has provided value from day one."
Chuffed.
CHUFF CHUFF CHUFF HA!
Now, there are things I can say in the general direction of the old gig - keep in mind, I'm still terribly fond of them - but wishing some of them sex ain't it.
I got what I needed.
He got what he wanted - someone else.
And that's all that really needs to be said about it.

Date: 2008-12-23 11:36 pm (UTC)Christmas of '92 AND '93. "It's just not working out, dear."
On the street, at Christmas. *shakes fist*
Got new jobs. Every time.
Happens every day.
Now, that's not to say there wasn't time spent in temp gigs (had a GREAT time at Warner Brothers that one Christmas, no kidding. Six weeks, out the door - but they were the BEST six weeks....) - but you find new jobs. You always do. You always will - if you keep at it.
