Tell a lie often enough.
Mar. 6th, 2009 08:39 amPeople still making a hefty profit - doesn't hurt the subject matter just keeps morphing into more whack per pound than anything else around.
This is an amazing piece of DUH.
Also, the hospital where the octuplets are expected to spend seven to 12 weeks has requested reimbursement from Medi-Cal, the state's Medicaid program, for care of the premature babies, according to the Los Angeles Times. The cost has not been disclosed.
Anyone think to ask the HOSPITAL? No? Or how about the Medi-Cal people in Sacramento? No? Gee, is it possible this stuff could not possibly be information the Times had access to? No? And if they did, and published it - they could be sued? No? (In all honesty, why not if there's funds to do it - MediCal is known to be the worst, slowest payer on the list, including collections. You don't ask, you don't get. Maybe they're having to spend more on ARMED GUARDS for the NICU, the whole hospital.)
I'll call them and see what they tell me. Only thing I'm going to ask the hospital is if the Times actually called them.
On the Internet, bloggers rained insults on Suleman, calling her an "idiot," criticizing her decision to have more children when she couldn't afford the ones she had, and suggesting she be sterilized.
eyelid and I will be laughing our asses off in the corner. UH SHE'S STERILE IVF HELLO.
"From the outside you can tell that this woman was playing the system," host Bryan Suits said on the "Kennedy and Suits" show on KFI-AM. "You're damn right the state should step in and seize the kids and adopt them out."
Bet these bright pennies never attended a single orientation to consider adopting out of the foster care system, let alone tried it...or talked anyone who's tried it.
BTW, the state doesn't step in. The county does. Dumbass. Not the same thing. Talk to someone who does the budgets and you'd find that out right quick.
I might also bring this up, since it might be pertinent.
This is the neighborhood and culture that produced Karen Carpenter. Her folks lived right up the street.

...whatever. I'm pretty sure it's not good for me to argue with the stupid on the Internet anyway.
