Waking up choking at 12:31 AM not recommended. Blast this bronchitis. Good thing I can fall asleep sucking on cough drops, though I don't recommend the practice.

Donna wants. For reference, and I hope I can load this at home and get it running. Having something that will track *everything* again? Heaven. The best thing I had up to now was a spreadsheet, and as I was quick to warn Rey - spreadsheets are good to start with, then they turn on you like the living dead and you work twice as hard to get rid of them because they are Bad For You in the long run. Spreadsheets are teh evil that look like cute fluffy Best Friends when when you start with them.

I hope this works better than the magic spreadsheet I used to use when Cliff was alive and I was doing all the finances.

In other news, Postsecret rocks the house this weekend:

Because. (Whole chapter for perspective.) I also kinda dig the cross references to the right in the first example, too.

*hack*

Ooooh, this is a clever point! I've never read any type of suggestion that God might be a loving, encompassing Being, and not the angry white-bearded figure of lore!

Back in the day, we were told that the conjecture was that what Jesus was writing in the dust were the sins of the woman's accusers. Interesting take on it, at least.

When the woman who was caught in sexual sin was brought before Jesus, He refused to condemn her. Why? Not because He doesn't care what you do as long as nobody gets hurt and it feels right for you. He refused to condemn her because she was sorry for doing wrong.

Elsewhere, Jesus defines adultery as any sexual act other than intercourse between a male husband and a female wife. Therefore, to suggest that Jesus doesn't care what you do in bed as long as nobody gets hurt and it feels right for you is just a flat-out misrepresentation of everything He ever said. He forthrightly condemned sexual relations outside of marriage on more than one occasion, He also called people ugly names, and He even used physical violence. And, in the case of the woman caught in adultery, He forgave her -- then said "Go, and sin no more.”

Jesus calls adultery a sin, and it is a sin. So are contraception, masturbation, remarriage after divorce, homosexual acts, and all other forms of sexual activity outside of the male husband-female wife bond. And, as He so deftly pointed out, the only way to escape the inevitable result of sin is to stand in front of Him with tears in your eyes and accept His forgiveness... and then stop doing whatever it was you were doing.
