You'll never see more cleverness than what they'll pull to get 30 more seconds out of you. And the ultimate classic is when they cry/ whine, "I'm NOT tired!" in a way that totally screams how exhausted they are.
If you like They Might Be Giants, check out their combo book/cd called Bed Bed Bed. And recently we've been having a laugh with a book from the library that's called something like Don't Let The Pigeon Stay Up Late, in which a pigeon tried all of those tricks on the reader. It is so funny to hear peo scold the pigeon and agree that he's clearly tired when she's pulling the same stuff. And I must admit, a couple of times lately she's agreed that she is tired, unlike the silly pigeon...
