Keep in mind, the kid is less than 30 lbs.

He ate 14 gyoza for dinner tonight, first group of seven, then another two groups of three and four...and could have kept going, except I offered ice cream.

Which he downed as well.

People, the WTF in this game continues to amaze me.

*ahem*

OM NOM NOM

can you say "growth spurt"?

I ate like that when I was 10 (couldn't feed me enough) and suddenly I went from 5'1 to 5'5 almost overnight.

It was weird.

Same here, I grew six inches in about as many months.

Just wait until he hits high school. I was eating 4 meals a day pretty consistently.... maybe 30-40 gyoza at a time.

Oh yeah, he's going to grow an inch or two in the next month. I did that one summer when I was 11, and grew about an inch and a half in a month and a half. It was nuts.

My mom said the same thing happened when I was 3 or 4. She has vivid memories of toddler-me eating homemade tempura as fast as she could cook it, and then growing out of everything I owned a few weeks later.

When I think back on the quantities of food I used to put away in a sitting when I was a wee auntie...man, it makes me want to hurl just thinking about it.

I thought nothing of polishing off multiple boxes of cookies.

I was 19 and I once ate 57. I also weighed 245.

I could hit 30 now but I'd be bad to myself.

Nowadays I'll do 14.

Mr. Boy will put away a quart of applesauce a day. Or more. He also has had days when it seems he eats like a bird (you know, 3 times his weight?), and other days when we can maybe get 3 sandwiches into his belly.

Yeah, this sounds like growth spurt just 'round the bend... Maybe I should try gyoza for certain little boys... chicken quesadillas are a good stand-by - it'd be nice to switch that out.

Even Miss Twiggy here does that sort of thing; it's growth spurt time.

There are days when Delia eats more than I do. I have no idea where it goes.
