Advent, Day 4

I forgot the stupid cookbooks. You'll have to wait for baking magic tomorrow. >_<

In lieu of that, I ask you consider a charity.

This one looks to the small, the intimate and the singular. That one utility bill. The busted transmission on the car. A trip to the ER nobody could afford.

Name it. Ask for it. And if there is support for it, you can have it.

I speak of Modest Needs. Right now, they have a huge matching fund drive going on right now - and I don't think I've read of a grant that was more than a grand.

But oh, when you don't have it - it's a fortune.

Go take a look - and I'll tie a string around a finger and see you tomorrow.

I don't know if any of your friends are shopping for charities, but I know a lot of the local food banks and shelters are really hurting right now. Especially here in CA, many have suffered drastic budget cuts, and can use help. Just thought I'd put it here, in case anyone's looking.
