Foul Mood

No, I really don't need more than 30 minutes to:

Wake up kid without pissing him off beyond cooperation - which I'll need, because:

He needs to get dressed
Eat something
Wake up completely
Take medication

OH

And I have to make sure I've taken my meds, fed myself, taken the first shower in three days (guess what happened the other two, c'mon, it's easy if you try), get dressed and put everything I need together, including breakfast and lunch...and then make sure kid has his lunch....

From a dead sleep. Go.

Needless to say, that didn't happen. SO LUCKY I can be late! (Well, not. I'm not on a clock, but I do have to make that stuff up sometime...so no, I don't leave my desk. Ever.)

And I left my phone at home.

So help me, if you involve me in something you REALLY should be handling yourself, I'll probably burn it the ground.

I finally finished that one one-hour television show I've been trying to watch for two nights running, this morning, using the fast forward button. Trying, because I've been falling asleep at 8:00 PM trying to watch it. No, I am NOT amused.

Hugs. It gets better as they get older. There are days when they even wake you up if your alarm doesn't go off. Rare, but lovely.

i have anjolie trained at this point to dress herself, brush her teeth, and pick out the snacks for her lunch. i am not a morning person. her compliance is a survival tactic. but she is 7, so i guess this just gives hope for the future. i have given up almost completely on showering in the mornings... i just find i run too short on time, and anjolie is too prone to distraction to not check in every few minutes.

there is the occasional day where she beats me out of bed & comes in to snuggle me awake. that's pretty nice.
