Chatting up other parents at preschool daycare during drop-off time can be quite the social event.

Somehow, me and another Mom (keep in mind, I'm probably one of the oldest parents there) got on the subject of toys We Hates. (Her daughter, who's in kid's class, brought in the BEST Easter Bunny toy for share day today.)

Worse toy evar is still Tickle Me Elmo. And I expressed my fervent relief and joy that I didn't have to parent a child during that era. She agreed.

But - yanno. Kids luuuuurved that damn thing. I sensed a bit of guilt. So I told her what Stuffe and Nonsense had done with one once...um, yeah. BDSM Elmo. She was sufficently awed and dismayed.

And my work there was done.

Oh, even the toys from McDonald's have off switches these days.

Kid has learned how to make the Chipmunks toys stutter. It's amazing. He's pleased, I'm nonplussed...and then he moves on to something else. Thank God.

Thank you, I did not know about Stuffe and Nonsense. wcg is NOT going to be happy when he finds out I want a Lincoln Imp wall hanging. Oh well. Also I would like to talk to them about a stuffed fire lizard, but not this month.

No -- this is the worst toy ever, though I adored it as a child. However, I can still remember the burns and the plastic fumes. A hot plate and molten PVC plastic for kids -- what could possibly go wrong?
