So much for the 4T clothes.

I understand that after 5T, he's in the Boys clothes, period.

Not even two years and when he arrived, it was in 24 months sized stuff with snap crotches (that we quickly got rid of, being completely toilet trained).

Now, this is all very appropriate and stuff, but I'm still a bit amazed. When I get the growth chart marked off, I'll post pictures and you can drop your jaws along with me.

I really should go back to the original paperwork and compare notes. From referral to placement, it was a year that didn't see an inch gain in height - so I had some rather modest expectations, right?

And I need to purge the clothing drawers. Seriously.

Wow. By the way there is overlap between a boys 4/5 and 4t/5t. The t sizes may be cut for pullups not underware. And they are cuter (younger looking)

I would suggest a better diet might have a lot to do with the growth.

Something else he might like, take 2 or 3 very favorite shirts and make pillows out of them. Just sew up all the openings and stuff them with washable stuffing. Simple, easy, cheap(sorta), it can be a wonderful collection as he grows older. (Personally, I would suggest no more than 1 or 2 a year.)

I would...except I remember his foster family despairing of getting this kid to eat anything, it's all over his reports and it's the one thing that defined his experience with us. I think his diet was just fine - we just took food as a push point out of the equation by giving him what he would readily eat (it was a SHORT list) until we could insist he eat things outside his preference/comfort zone.

Eating was really a good way to monopolize attention on himself - for good or ill, he didn't know any better. He may have eaten a whole lot of McDonald's, but I think we're going to start seeing some of the benefit as I insist he eat his veggies and fruit as well as his chicken nuggets when that option is given at home.

Consider that anything orange was EVIL - and now I can get him to eat Kraft's finest with only a little complaint and you get an idea of how far he's come. He's even willing to drink orange soda - orange juice is not far behind.
