When we got back into cell phone range this afternoon, we found that our agent had called and left a voicemail on my cell phone. When we called back, we found that they had taken the final walk-through and had a number of concerns - one of which was a puddle of water outside the garage door. That's a result of the dryer vent laying on the group just inside the door (there's a vent built into the garage door there as well) - and they thought it was a water leak. The agent also said to call when we got home - usually, such talk means "sit down, the news is bad."

So I did what nobody should do - I blurted out the first thing I came up with. Since Jim had put a load of clothes in the dryer before we left, obviously the steam had formed the "puddle" from condensing on the ground. "Thanks for putting a load of clothes in the dryer before they came by - now there's a puddle of water next to the garage door and they freaked out over it!"

There are days when I am a TOTAL baka.

I was also upset at having to be in two places at once - and yes, both parties really think they should have me, willing or no.

I couldn't wait until we got home - we hit traffic and all I really want to know is whether or not the deal is off over some laundry dryer condensation or not. So I called again and told the agent Jim was going to be going to work right after we got home and did I need him to go over what he had? He was on another call. So when he got finished with that call, he called me back and went over the punchlist.

Suffice it to say, when we have anyone over to look at anything again, there will be no laundry going. Feh.

Most of it can be done through the home repair insurance I carry, but they want some things done that never worked in 13 years - okay, gimme. I guess. I guess it's good the final walkthrough wasn't Wednesday. We'd never made it.

More crap. More crap. More crap. *whine* Ghad, I hate what this is doing to me.

Going to go put the recycle bins in the garage, take the luggage set upstairs and begin packing clothes. When I am done, they will be in four places - in drawers that can close, in boxes, in luggage or out in the truck bed to be taken to Goodwill.

I've already finalized the taxes and taken all the recyclables back - got dinner for me, that did.

But once the clothes are done, I am done for the night.
