No, this war isn't going to create anti-American setiments.
No, this war isn't going to make people mad. It's not like we STARTED THIS, anyway.
..
No, we don't have the corner on hatred. They can hate back, you know.
Okay, gallows humor, you can kick in now. Anytime.
Gah. The fact it's so clear, legible and damn tidy bothers me the most.
But it still could have been done with one person with an axe to grind. Just...remember that.
I have no intention of giving in to prejudice. I was raised better than that.

Date: 2003-04-03 09:32 am (UTC)Southerners hate blacks. French hate Americans. Hispanics hate Jews. They're all generic stereotypes of people hating other people, and normally for no good reason. It happens. It's irrational. As it's irrational, there's no rational way to stop it, short of whacking people upside the head with a Clue-by-Four™ until the're no longer able to coherently process hatred - or, for that matter, anything else.

Why is it that your first impulse on seeing this is to yell at AMERICA? Shouldn't the people who DID it bear blame??
I don't care how angry people are about the war. This sort of thing is unjustified.

It is incredibly, fucking sad. And I sure as hell hope it's been removed by now.
