320 entries. Got through 'em, though.

I have gotten my [livejournal.com profile] project29 email - and I am going to soooo enjoy this task!

Lessee.

I had a "friend" once who played the fainting swan with such finesse, it was amazing. A diabetic weighing over 350 lbs, she claimed to be compliant with her diet and medication. What she was doing was medicating for her normal intake of 9,000 calories a day and when around a guy she wanted to land, ate like a normal person. She'd have an insulin reaction, fainted and got rescued time and time again. Worked far too well for safety. She was also charming, funny as hell and I still miss her. But I saw through her act and that was the end of being a friend. I pinned her down when I wanted to know how often ice cream was allowed on her diet plan - the answer was occasionally. What did that mean? Once or twice daily, sometimes more. You get the picture.

One of my best friends in the whole world, and has known me for over 20 years, once lived with a woman who carried on a number of online personas in various support groups - pretending to be deaf, pretending to be terminally ill, pretending to be gay, pretending to be -whatever- , on any given day. She was an adept actress, I might add. To my knowledge, she hasn't ever been caught. She was also disgusting. But the entertainment value was immense. It was the only place people paid attention to her. Why she never figured out how to be interesting herself fails me. She was always running away from her personas, always looking for the next group to fall into. VERY sad.

What Jim's father and step-mother told me the one time I met with them, when they could corner me out of his hearing, isn't repeatable. It was motivated by the desire to make sure "I knew the truth" - which, I might add, I'd already researched to the nth degree and none of their stories tied to it - that they wanted the world to be convinced of. If they could convince people of any one thing, that was what really happened. The truth was, Jim sued for a change of custody when he was 15 years old over abuse he received at their hands - for cause. They'd like everyone to think he's defective. Next!

We need the eggs. What else can you say? A lot of people use other things besides money for currency. I'm fully aware of that. I also know it when it walks in the door - it's walked in too many times already.

Comments are off for this one, folks. I'm tired, and I'm not entertaining tonight.

But I'm feeling very old. The fact I'm the oldest person on [livejournal.com profile] ass_'s friends list just isn't making me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Drop kick me Jesus, through the goal posts of life....
