Grrr. Ng. Something.
Jan. 29th, 2004 04:02 pmI just gave up trying to get to a doctor's appointment because the truck just won't get there in one piece anymore.
Or at least, that's how it feels. It sways, it drifts, it leans and every piece of rough road makes me feel like the steering wheel is about to jump out of my hands.
It would be humorous if I wasn't shaking and scared to drive anywhere. Just got it out of the shop after having the brakes fixed (my dickey brakes from two years ago) - and it pulls a bit to one side, but that's working its way through. Had a rental car for four days - drove all over the place in it and nothing bugged me much. Drive the station wagon, no problem. At night, the headlights are a bit dim in oncoming traffic - hence the doctor appointment to have my eyes checked - but I can still drive the thing and not feel like I'm about to off myself.
This is wrong on so many levels, I can't begin. I have to be able to drive that thing - that's my transportation. Until I can replace it, that is.
So when I go for the now rescheduled appointment, I'm renting a car. When I have to do anything past going to work, or anything that requires freeway driving, I have to rent a car.
WRONG. Seriously, literally...nrgf.
