Date: 2003-05-10 08:14 am (UTC)Mom *loved* giving us these and maintained they were good for us. All I know, I ran away from home for a night with a bud when she combined these with meatloaf once.
The China Super Buffet in the old neighborhood also serves these...very tiny ones, mind...drenched in butter. Not too bad.
And then there was the winter in Switzerland when they were they only green thing I could find to eat in the market....
