Fun? The work cell beeped at me the moment I got off the plane in Oakland Saturday. I have a mystery on my hands, it seems - but they were able to recover from what sounds like a translator meltdown. But I hate mysteries when I can't get to a terminal to find out What The Fuck Happened. The work cell beeped at me the moment it got plugged in this afternoon when I got back - otherwise, I would have gone in to work the moment I got back. Yeah. After riding for hours down the I-5 in a state bordering on raving. When I'm thinking about how many ways you can die riding in a car, instead of maybe dozing or reading instead - hmmmm, I wonder what it would feel like to be crushed to death between two vehicles - would the blunt trauma to the head do it first, or would I be alive long enough to know I was bleeding to death - or didn't have enough brain stem left to keep breathing on my own and suffocate? Choices, choices...

I really, REALLY am beginning to hate riding in a car for any reason. This ain't no fucking video game, after all.
