If you check my profile, the view from the Hermosa Beach web cam appears there - it's only about 15 minutes from the house and is a good thumbprint of what my day is looking like.

But wait - they're building bleachers and a whole lotta support infrastructure down on the beach, including paramedic units. Hmm. Didn't know about any surfing contests or the like - hmmm.
