I read that in my freshman year of college in an English class. It was OK, but since it was an assignment, naturally I look at it as a task I once had to perform, not a leisure item that would be in any way enjoyable. :) That's not to say it's bad. It was fine. But it's filed in my mind under "former homework." :)

it's not really a HORROR story...

just about women's repression and suchlike. it's interesting. not too horrific or anything, though.

that's an amazing story. We studied it in vic lit in grad school.
It's not horror like you would think of horror...It's a psychological study and quite damning of the practices of her day.

I LOVE that story. I first saw it dramatized on PBS when I was a kid, then I found it in an anthology of horror stories by women.
