kyburgI forgot to pick up the CSA box yesterday. I'll go by at lunch time today, but if it's already gone to charity, it's my own fault.
Spent a good portion of last night on a sidewalk in Lakewood/Lawndale holding a candle lantern and raising two fingers in a peace sign to oncoming traffic. In other words, a candelight vigil - and it was well attended.
Next time, I use light sticks. Near the ocean like this, the wind is a real bugger in the early evening - but we managed.
And it got noisy. REAL noisy. MTA buses, Vons 16-wheeler delivery trucks, ambulances - they all honked at us. The ambulance, actually, turned on the sirens for us - he wins.
But I was also glad it only lasted an hour - I wanted to get back home. Home is good. Home is where my comfy lounging spots are.
I'm also going to treat myself this weekend to a trip to LUSH down in Santa Monica (and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ceolyn, we can go down there if you're game when you're in town, but I'm going to want to know if this store is as sucktastic as I think it is. It's good to get Something and LEAVE, but not much more than that) - but I also have kitties in to the vet today for more shots, baths and flea treatments. I'll have to do this again next week for the rabies shot and health certifications - glad I asked about them this morning. The kittens are getting BIG and frisky - getting pictures is getting almost impossible, but if I can catch them tonight during house time (going to bomb the laundry room for fleas and such), I will.
And gorgeous - GOD - they are getting beautiful. The little tortie is still outstanding on her placement - we may need to show her on weekends to get her placed if neither of her interested parties gets off the pot and decides soon.
And the budget, she is crying. Oh well.
